Personal: YYC Peace Bridge

I’ve been wanting to make a trip down along Memorial Drive for some time now to checkout the Peace Bridge. The bridge was completed and opened back in 2012 - and before last night I had never actually walked across it. I don’t commute or have any business in that area so that would probably be the reason. Last night we went for a walk along the river and to see the bridge.

The bridge is definitely a unique piece in our city..

The pedestrian / cyclists bridge is 130 meters long, took just over two years to construct, cost a total of $24.4 Million, and was designed by Santiago Calatrava.

Lastly, here’s a quick shot from inside the bridge..
